School Visits
Lindsay is available for school and library visits,
writing workshops and readings, as well as skype sessions.
Lindsay Cummings travels all over the country to speak to students. Sharing the love of reading and writing is one of her favorite things! She loves to take students on a journey from the beginning of her writing life as a kid, to present day, as an even bigger kid. (Note: Lindsay will alter her presentation to fit elementary-middle-intermediate-high school ages.)
When Lindsay was a child, she dreamt of becoming a musician. But as she grew older, and came down with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, her life took her in a different direction. Lindsay learned that dreams don’t die. They simply change. Now, Lindsay is living her new dream as a full time author.
She hopes to show students, through a slideshow of images and a handful of inspirational stories, that life is all one big book, full of pages waiting to be turned.
For writing workshops,teacher/school chooses topic, and Lindsay prepares a personalized workshop for young writers. (Character Building, Book Writing 101, Defeating Writer's Block, How to Plot Like a Pro, or a custom workshop can be created)
Lindsay can speak to any number of students, from Elementary-College.
Speech runs 30-45 minutes long, with Q&A time.
Only a projector and screen is required.
Lindsay CAN do out-of-state school visits.
